NTSE : Stage I and Stage II : How to prepare :
1. There are basically four broad subjects in NTSE Exam -
i. SAT (100 marks)
a. Mathematics (20 marks)
b. Science (40 marks)
c. Social Science (40 marks)
ii. MAT (100 marks)
2. For NTSE Mathematics, prepare:
a. NCERT (Exercise and Examples)
b. RS Agarwal (Multiple Choice Questions-at the end of each chapter)
c. Previous Year Questions
Note : If some NTSE previous year questions are not able to be solved,
then search that question on the web or youtube, learn the concept and remember
the procedure. (You can make small 5-10 pg notes.Learn how to make small and effective notes.)
3. For NTSE Science, prepare:
a. NCERT (each and every line)
b. Read, Understand, Watch Videos, Visualise, Learn, Make Notes, Revise
c. Previous Year Questions
4. For NTSE Social Science,
a. History (Mug up with timeline)
b. Geography (Learn from marked and highlighted books)
c. Civics (Can use all-in-one or other sources)
d. Economics (Can use all-in-one or other source )
Note : Never read from a book for civics and economics. Use books only for maps and illustrations.
5. For NTSE MAT,
a. Use A new approach to reasoning by Arihant.
b. Previous Year Papers compulsory
c. Only Time Set Practice
Note: Don’t solve the whole book. Analyze important topics from the previous year and solve them only.
